Recognized as a leading practitioner by Best Lawyers and Lexpert, Paul defends employers in all areas of workplace litigation, including occupational health and safety, workers’ compensation, human rights, injunctions, CCAA proceedings, and class actions. He also lectures as an Adjunct Professor at the UBC Faculty of Law, where he teaches employment law.

Virginie Vigeant is a Partner at Mathews, Dinsdale & Clark LLP’s Vancouver office. For almost twenty years, Virginie has been supporting employers in their day-to-day operations. Virginie has built a diverse workplace law practice both in Quebec and in British Columbia, incorporating experience from working at a national law firm, serving as in-house counsel for a leading Canadian post-secondary institution, and acting as Employee Relations Manager for a British Columbia marine transportation and shipyard employer. This unique insight enables her to offer nuanced and pragmatic workplace law solutions to clients. Virginie has counselled clients from both provincial and federal jurisdictions, on a wide range of labour and employment law matters, including interpreting collective agreements, employer policies, discipline, and grievance management. Virginie has acted as spokesperson in collective bargaining. She also supports her client through labour disputes.

Brady Farmer is a Partner in Mathews Dinsdale & Clark LLP’s Calgary office, providing proactive and timely advice to clients on all aspects of labour and employment law. He routinely advises employers on employment contracts, workplace policies, human rights complaints, wrongful dismissals, grievance arbitrations, and collective bargaining. Brady works closely with employers to find practical solutions to workplace issues including employee discipline and dismissals, performance management, and workplace accommodations.

Dave Bushuev is a Partner in the Toronto office of Mathews, Dinsdale & Clark LLP, practising in all areas of labour and employment law. Dave’s experience includes advising provincially and federally regulated employers in a broad range of issues including: hiring and termination, labour relations, human rights, disability accommodation, occupational health and safety, privacy, and performance management.

Dave represents clients in a variety of litigation matters, including before labour arbitrators, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

Whitney Miller is an Associate in Mathews, Dinsdale & Clark LLP’s Toronto office. She completed her J.D. at Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. Prior to law school, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History at Tufts University, where she graduated magna cum laude. Whitney is passionate about advocacy and her practice is primarily focused on employment and human rights law.
