Tan Sook Yee’s Principles of Singapore Land Law, Fourth Edition (eBook)

Tan Sook Yee joined the academic staff of the then University of Singapore in 1964 and taught in the Faculty of Law there and then in the National University of Singapore till 2005 when she retired as Professor of Law. While at the Faculty of Law she lectured in various subjects but especially in Land Law, and Equity and Trusts. She has written many papers and several books on these subjects, one of which is the leading text in Singapore. She was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Law in 1980, a position she held till 1987. She also held other administrative positions in the Faculty of Law and in the National University of Singapore. She was a member of the Singapore Law Reform Commission and Tenants Compensation Board. Currently she is a member of the panel of the Strata Titles Board and is on the Maintenance of Parents Tribunal. She was also the President of the Singapore Girl Guides from 1969 till 1972. She was awarded the Public Service Medal in 2008.

Tang Hang Wu is a Professor at the School of Law, Singapore Management University. Hang Wu has published widely and his work has been relied on by all levels of the Singapore courts, the Royal Court of Jersey, the Caribbean Court of Appeal, Federal Court of Malaysia, law reform committees in the Commonwealth, major textbooks and law journals. Apart from his work in academia, Hang Wu advises members of Singapore’s legal profession and relevant government ministries on complex legal issues pertaining to restitution, property, trusts and charities and often acts as Counsel before the Singapore courts on such issues.

Kelvin F K Low is Professor at the School of Law, City University of Hong Kong. Kelvin’s research interest spans the field of private law but with a particular interest in property, broadly defined. He has published internationally with leading journals such as the Law Quarterly Review, the Modern Law Review, Lloyd’s Maritime and Commercial Law Quarterly and Legal Studies and is a co-author of the 2nd edition of The Law of Personal Property, the leading personal property text in the Commonwealth. His works have been cited by all levels of the Singapore Courts, the Australian High Court, the English High Court, the Malaysian Federal Court, the English, Scottish, New Zealand and Australian Law Commissions, the Irish Sales Law Review Group as well as leading texts throughout the Commonwealth. He is a member of The International Academy of Estate and Trust Law and a co-editor of Trust Law International and is the joint section editor for Singapore and Hong Kong for the Property Law Review.
