David Foxton QC was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1989, and was appointed QC in 2006, a Recorder in 2008 and a Deputy High Court Judge sitting in the Commercial Court, the Chancery Division and the Administrative Court in 2016. He has been a member of Essex Court Chambers since 1989, practising from London and Singapore. He is a member of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration panels of arbitrators. He holds degrees from Oxford University (MA, BCL) and King’s College, London (PhD) and is a Special Professor in law at the University of Nottingham, He has been called to the Bars of the British Virgin Islands and Gibraltar.

David Joseph QC practises at Essex Court Chambers in London specialising in commercial law and international arbitration. He has appeared before arbitral tribunals and the courts of England, Singapore and Hong Kong in many of the leading cases in these fields. David Joseph was recently recognised by both Chambers Directory and Legal 500 as International Commercial Arbitration Queen’s Counsel of the year. He is also the author of Jurisdiction and Arbitration Agreements and their Enforcement.
