Gavin Raftery is the Co-Managing Partner of Baker McKenzie’s Tokyo office and Co-Head of Baker McKenzie’s Global Fintech Initiative. He regularly advises established financial institutions, tech companies and early stage disruptors on a range of transactional and regulatory issues relevant to the Fintech space, including financial services regulatory compliance, commercial partnerships, fund raisings and product creation and distribution. Gavin is a regular speaker on fintech, payments, blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

Adrian Lawrence is the Co-Head of Baker McKenzie’s Global Fintech Initiative and also leads Baker McKenzie’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications Group in the APAC region. Adrian regularly advises clients across the sector, from established technology companies, to financial services institutions and early stage disruptors. He advises on a range of issues relevant to the Fintech space, including on privacy and data utilisation, regulatory compliance, commercial partnerships and product creation and distribution. Adrian also regularly assists large international clients with their requirements for entry into a range of APAC markets. He is a regular speaker on fintech, technology, privacy and digital media issues, including as a lecturer in the postgraduate program at the University of New South Wales.

Randall E. Duran is a lecturer in Singapore Management University, teaching in the Master of IT in Business, Financial Technology (FinTech) programme. He was formerly Chief Executive Officer of Catena Technologies, a Singapore-based Fintech company that he founded and which was acquired by IHS Markit. He also served as the Chief Information Officer of a US-based bank. Randall holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.). He is the author of the textbook “Financial Services Technology: Processes, Architecture, and Solutions” and co-author of the textbook “Bank Management: A Decision-Making Perspective”.
