The ability to be conversant in multiple languages is an advantage to every student and practitioner of law in Malaysia. As such, the use of the correct legal terminology in translating cause papers, letters and other legal documents becomes essential when it comes to determining the rights and liabilities of parties. Where legal literature and practice of law are conducted in multiple languages, this language skill will enable one to be the cream of the crop. The common English to Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa Malaysia to English dictionaries are insufficient in the preparation of legal documentations as the technicalities in legal terminologies require a different approach in translation. LexisNexis Legal Terminology would be an essential reference tool where our LexisNexis Report’s team has referred to various authoritative sources to ensure that the translations of legal terms are as accurate as possible. This publication contains the translations of legal terms from English to Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Malaysia to English and Arabic to English. For ease of reference, Latin terms are italicised and some entries have the same legal terms in both languages.
