Nick McCombie was an original contributing author to the service as well as an updating author for many years. Nick had a passionate interest in workers' compensation law that was evident when he was an advocate and that passionate interest continued when he became first a Panel Member and then a Vice Chair at the Appeals Tribunal. Nick's many contributions to workers' compensation law in Ontario were recognized when he was awarded the Ron Ellis award for lifetime achievement in workers' compensation in 2003.
Garth Dee, B.Math., LL.B., is a Vice Chair with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal. He has worked in the workers' compensation field for over 30 years and is a former Director of the Clinic Resource Office of Legal Aid Ontario and Director of the Benefits Policy Branch of the Workers' Compensation Board. Mr. Dee is co-author of Workers' Compensation in Ontario Handbook and Butterworths Workers' Compensation in Ontario Service, both published by LexisNexis Canada Inc.
Gary Newhouse, B.A., LL.B. has practised workers' compensation law for over 30 years.
