Alastair R. Lucas, Q.C., B.A., LL.B., (Alta.), LL.M., (Br. Col.), is a professor of law and Director of the Sustainable Energy Development (SEDV) MSc Program at the University of Calgary. From 2006 to 2011, he was the Faculty's Dean. He has served as Executive Director of the Canadian Institute of Resources Law and is now an Adjunct Professor in the University of Calgary's Faculty of Environmental Design. Professor Lucas has been consultant and policy advisor to several government departments, held numerous professional appointments, and served as a member of the Governing Council of the International Bar Association's Section on Energy and Natural Resources Law. He serves as a Trustee of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation. Professor Lucas is a co-author of Halsbury's Laws of Canada - Environment (2018 Reissue) and co-General Editor of Canadian Environmental Law, 2nd Edition.

Cameron Jefferies is an Assistant Professor and Borden Ladner Gervais Fellow at the Faculty of Law and the University of Alberta. He researches in the areas of environmental law, natural resource law, ocean law and animal law and he developed a new JD course in sustainability law. He is also interested in public interest law and advocacy and is the founder of Fin Free Edmonton, a chapter of United Conservationists, through which he is pursuing shark conservation in Edmonton and elsewhere. He has published number of articles on international and domestic shark conservation and management and energy law and a policy paper in the area of physician health. Prior to joining the Faculty of Law, he articled at Field LLP and worked as a Research Associate at the Health Law Institute. He holds degrees from the University of Alberta and the University of Virginia, where he studied as a Fulbright Scholar. His Doctoral dissertation assessed the possibility of a new approach towards international marine mammal conservation.

Tony Crossman is a leading expert in Canadian environmental law who assists with identifying and managing environmental risks, providing advice on day-to-day operational issues, and solving complex issues. His work specifically includes advising on environmental regulation and management, corporate compliance and due diligence, and litigation matters.Tony's experience includes work in the energy, mining, natural resources and forestry sectors as well as manufacturing, real estate, municipal, waste management and transportation.

John Donihee is one of Canada's foremost experts in environmental, regulatory, administrative and Aboriginal law in Canada's north. John's particular focus is on environmental approvals for resource development, land claims implementation and modern treaties in Northwest Territories and Nunavut. He has extensive experience in land and water regulation, environmental impact assessment, and wildlife management and land use planning law. John is admitted to the bars of Alberta, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.

Chidinma Thompson is a partner in the Commercial Litigation Group in the Calgary office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. Chidinma is focusing her practice on commercial litigation, regulatory law and arbitration, with an emphasis on energy, natural resources, environmental, and municipal law. She acts for and advises clients in these areas, and has experience in regulatory hearings before the Alberta Energy Resources Conservation Board, Alberta Utilities Commission, Calgary Subdivision and Development Appeal Board, as well as proceedings at the Alberta Provincial Court, Court of Queen's Bench and the Court of Appeal.

Teresa L. Meadows is a partner at Meadows Law. Teresa received a Bachelor of Education degree (with distinction) in 1987 and a Juris Doctor in 1992 from the University of Calgary. She was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 1993 and the Law Society of Nunavut in 2010. Teresa's main areas of practice are environmental and administrative law. She has appeared in all levels of Court in the Province of Alberta and before the Supreme Court of Canada. Teresa applies her experience as a regulator, in-house counsel, consultant and lawyer in private practice to provide strategic and pragmatic advice to a diverse private and public sector client-base engaged in various regulatory processes. She provides advice on all aspects of environmental regulation from project inception through to decommissioning, with particular expertise in the areas of environmental assessment, regulatory permitting, due diligence and risk and compliance management. Teresa is a frequent lecturer and award-winning author in areas including climate change law and policy, environmental due diligence, environmental assessment and the business risks and opportunities associated with environmental regulation.

Sheryl Rosenberg is a partner at Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP practising primarily in the area of environmental law. She provides clients with advice concerning environmental approvals and licensing, mining and mine rehabilitation, natural resource development, regulatory compliance, contaminated sites and litigation of environmental matters.

Catherine Choquette est professeure à la Faculté de droit de l'Université de Sherbrooke depuis 2002.
