Butterworths is pleased to introduce the latest addition to its suite of civil procedure products, the newly revised 2nd Edition of the Alberta Limitations Manual service. This essential resource provides comprehensive coverage of all Alberta limitations statutes in a 1-volume binder.

Following the same layout and format of Butterworths' other Limitations services, the new Alberta Limitations Manual, 2nd Edition enables users to easily and reliably locate the applicable statutory limitation period governing the commencement of an action, the bringing of an appeal and the instituting of various other proceedings and prosecutions.

Researchers are able to quickly identify specific time limitations by referring to:

a) Annotated Limitations Act, R.S.A. 2000, c. L-12 - the volume contains a fully annotated version of the complete Alberta Limitations Act, complete with references to relevant case law.

b) Annotated Alberta Rules of Court (ALTA. REG. 390/68) - selected Rules of Court set out in full, complete with references to case law.

c) Limitation Periods by Subject - covering topics ranging from "Aboriginal Law" to "Wills, Estates and Trusts Law", each entry identifies the specific topic, action, time period and the time from which the period begins to run using a headnote format. Below each headnote is a reproduction of the relevant statute section or subsection, with case digests as applicable.
