Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Law: A Compliance Guide for U.S. Federal, State, and Local Governments is the only book of its kind, i.e., that’s aimed specifically at American government agencies and government employees. On the one hand, it is a comprehensive, highly readable, clear and comprehensible compendium of data privacy and cybersecurity law at all three levels of U.S. government: federal, state and local. On the other, it is a treasure trove of practical guidance for the very agencies and employees that comprise these governmental layers. No other book on this topic straddles these two areas.
For those customers who want a comprehensive single source for federal, state and local laws on data privacy and cybersecurity law, this relatively slim volume provides full coverage of the federal statutory landscape, plus in-depth explanations of the half dozen most important state statutes, and the bonus of a sampling of local legislation. For the reader who wants to better understand data privacy, cybersecurity, compliance and auditing, and enterprise risk management in the virtual world, again this concise volume is packed with knowledge and guidance. And, last but not least, the book covers issues unique to government agencies and employees, providing sample policies, analysis and guidance of direct interest and use to them.
The 2023 edition ISBN is 9781663361608.
