Iowa Real Property Law and Practice provides a practical and comprehensive resource for busy Iowa real estate practitioners and for other practitioners who need to know Iowa real estate law for their practices.
Forms provided by the Iowa State Bar Association, as well as the author’s own personal forms, are included in the treatise, to aid the practitioner in drafting many of the standard real estate documents used in Iowa real estate transactions.
One of the author’s inspirations in writing the treatise was that, as an adjunct professor at Drake Law School, teaching Real Estate Transactions, she wanted to provide her students with a guide to help them in their own real estate practices.
Comprehensive and practical coverage in the treatise includes topics such as:
• interests in land;
• title abstracts and Title Guaranty Program;
• conveyances;
• leasing;
• options, rights of first refusal, and rights of first offer;
• Iowa Corporate Farming Act;
• Nonresident Aliens Ownership Act;
• easements;
• condominiums; and
• the relevance of human trafficking to real estate in Iowa.
