John J. (Jack) Soltys is a 1963 graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Soltys obtained his J.D. degree in 1970 from Willamette University, College of Law, and began his practice emphasizing insurance defense/litigation, utilizing his engineering background in products liability, architects’ and engineers’ liability, toxic torts, highway design, construction litigation, and failure of manufactured products.

Mr. Soltys is a shareholder at Cozen O’Connor and is a member of the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers (past president in 1986-87), Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, the Washington State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and DRI. Mr. Soltys is also a frequent author and lecturer on trial techniques and procedures. The emphasis of Mr. Soltys’ practice is litigation.

Michael L. Schrenk is a junior member of the law firm of Cozen O’Connor. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Notre Dame. He then served in the United States Navy. Following his naval service, Mr. Schrenk attended Notre Dame Law School, received his degree cum laude, and began his legal career with Cozen O’Connor.

Mr. Schrenk authored the 1998 supplement to chapter 2 of the WASHINGTON MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT INSURANCE DESKBOOK and served as co-editor-in-chief of the 1998 Cumulative Supplement to the WASHINGTON MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT LITIGATION DESKBOOK. Mr. Schrenk’s practice has an emphasis in products liability law, subrogation, and civil trial practice.

Ramona N. Hunter is a member of Cozen O’Connor practicing in the firm’s Seattle office. Ms. Hunter received her bachelor of arts degree, magna cum laude, with distinction (department honors) from the University of Washington in 1998 and her law degree from the University of Washington School of Law in 2001. She maintains an insurance defense litigation practice, which emphasizes the defense of corporations and individuals in connection with serious personal injury accidents, including claims for medical negligence and product defect.
