Catherine Ross Dunham is a Professor of Law and former Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the Elon University School of Law. Professor Dunham is an experienced teacher and academic who focuses her teaching, service and scholarship in the areas of civil litigation and advocacy. In addition to her scholarship examining various aspects of procedural law, Professor Dunham’s scholarship has also included examinations of empirical research related to legal pedagogy, effective trial advocacy, and bias and gender equality. Professor Dunham teaches Civil Procedure, Complex Civil Litigation, Pre-Trial Litigation, Trial Practice and other courses in the general areas of litigation and advocacy. Professor Dunham also serves on the faculty of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and teaches regularly in regional and national advocacy programs. She has masters and bachelors degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a juris doctor from Campbell University and a master of laws from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Don C. Peters is an Emeritus Professor of Law and former Director of the Institute for Dispute Resolution at the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law. A 1968 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law where he was a Law Review Editor and a Coif Member, he occasionally teaches negotiation, me¬diation, interviewing, counseling, and mediation advocacy. Before accepting emeritus status, he often taught Civil Procedure and Professional Responsibility. Professor Peters is a Florida Supreme Court certified family, county, and circuit court mediator who has taught and consulted in Australia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ghana, Haiti, India, Israel, Jordan, Kenya, Malaysia, Poland, South Africa, Taiwan, Uganda, and Vietnam. He has co-authored two books and published several articles analyzing aspects of dispute resolution theory and practice. Professor Peters was a Reginald Heber Smith Community Lawyer Fellow with the Greater Miami Legal Services, Inc.; a Senior Fulbright Scholar with the University of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and a Fulbright Senior Specialist with Yarmouk University in Irbid, Jordan. He has also taught as a visitor on law faculties at the Universities of Alabama, Colorado, and Iowa, as well as at Elon University and Monash University, in Melbourne, Australia.
