Adimey is a partner at Gair, Gair, Conason, Rubinowitz, Bloom, Hershenhorn,Steigman & Mackauf, where she handles complex medical malpractice and personal injury cases in New York and New Jersey. Above all, she is a trial lawyer, having tried multiple complex cases to verdict across multiple fields of medicine and having obtained more than 100settlements in the seven and eight figures. Most recently, in May 2025, she secured a unanimous verdict of $60,033,041 for a 65-year-old electrical mechanic left permanently paralyzed following a routine epidural steroid injection—believed to be the highest medical malpractice verdict ever awarded in Nassau County. Her extensive work on the Tribeca crane collapse litigation also contributed to co-author Howard Hershenhorn's $272.5 million settlement—the largest crane accident recovery ever recorded in New York and among the largest construction settlements in the nation. She works closely with the firm's in-house medical staff and outside experts while supervising a team of attorneys and paralegals.
Marijo's trial results span the breadth of medical malpractice litigation. In a single year, she obtained two of the top medical malpractice verdicts in New York: a $2.5 million unanimous verdict for a woman who suffered a duodenal perforation during a diagnostic upper endoscopy, and a $1,270,000 unanimous verdict in Kings County for a woman whose spleen was torn from her colon during a routine screening colonoscopy. Her other results include an $11.5 million settlement during trial for a woman who developed Wernicke's encephalopathy and permanent brain damage after an undiagnosed thiamine deficiency following bariatric surgery, a $7.5 million settlement for an infant who suffered brain damage during delivery, and numerous seven and eight figure recoveries in cases involving failure to diagnose cancer, birth injury, surgical error, and hospital negligence.
Marijo learned her craft in the courtroom, beginning as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, where she tried dozens of felony and misdemeanor cases to verdict. She joined the Gair firm in 2014 and was named partner just three years later.
