Alfred C. Tartaglia, Esq., is a graduate of Duke University and New York Law School. He has been employed in public service as a court employee for over 30 years, engaging in civil litigation, criminal litigation, and appellate practice. He has authored, updated and contributed to numerous LexisNexis publications, including LexisNexis Practice Guide: Illinois Personal Injury Litigation, LexisNexis Practice Guide: Massachusetts e-Discovery and Evidence, LexisNexis AnswerGuide: New York Negligence, and Warren's Weed New York Real Property.

Carrie E. Cope is the president and managing shareholder of Cope Ehlers, P.C. and Ms. Cope is head of the firm’s insurance regulatory and specialty lines claims and coverage consulting practices. She handles commercial lines’ claims arising under a wide variety of insurance policies including D&O liability, cyber risk, employment practices liability, fiduciary liability, errors and omissions, and trade credit. Ms. Cope is the coauthor of the New Appleman Illinois Insurance Law Practice Guide (LexisNexis 2020 Edition), as well as numerous book chapters, articles and blogs written on a wide variety of insurance topics. She is the General Counsel of USPlate Glass Insurance Company and has been a Director on its Board since 2009.

David Grassmick, Esq., earned a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Virginia, and a J.D., Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law. He was formerly a partner with Cope Ehlers, P.C., and was a former partner in the litigation group at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP. Mr. Grassmick served as a law clerk to Justice Harold See, Alabama Supreme Court, before entering private practice. Mr. Grassmick was also Book Review Editor for the University of Illinois Law Review. Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Grassmick was a university professor, teaching speech and rhetorical studies. He chaired the Speech and Rhetorical Studies Program at Centre College, and before that he was Assistant Professor and Director of Debate at Marist College.
