George W. Soule is a founding partner of Soule & Stull LLC, in Minneapolis. He and his partner, Melissa Stull, started their firm in 2014. Soule & Stull focuses on product liability, commercial litigation, personal injury and property damage, Indian law, appeals, and alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Soule was a founding partner at Bowman and Brooke LLP, where he worked for 29 years.

A graduate of Moorhead State University and Harvard Law School, Mr. Soule returned to Minnesota in 1979 to begin his career as a trial lawyer. He has tried dozens of cases in Minnesota’s state and federal courts. He coordinates product liability litigation nationwide and has tried cases in 18 other states. He also serves as a mediator and arbitrator and is a qualified neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice.

From 1999 to 2003, Mr. Soule served as Chair of the Minnesota Commission on Judicial Selection, which vets, interviews, and recommends candidates for judicial appointment. He was Vice-Chair of the Commission from 1992 to 1999. He has served as Co-Chair of seven election campaigns for Minnesota Supreme Court Justices and worked on many other judicial campaigns.

Mr. Soule served as Chair of MSBA Civil Litigation Section in 1994–1995 and President of the Minnesota Chapter, American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) in 2014. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Society of Barristers. Minnesota Lawyer named him an Attorney of the Year in 1999, 2012 and 2019.

An advocate for diversity in the legal community and bench, Mr. Soule is a member of the White Earth Nation and past President and active member of the Minnesota American Indian Bar Association. He now serves as a Judge of the Tribal Courts of Appeals for the White Earth Nation and three other Minnesota Tribes.

Mr. Soule serves on the Board of Trustees of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities and is Board Chair for the Division of Indian Work in Minneapolis.
