Peter Lublin:
Peter Lublin is a senior partner of Rubin Lublin, LLC. He graduated from Duke University in 1986 and Emory School of Law in 1989. His primary areas of practice include business litigation, construction and banking litigation, real estate related litigation, contract disputes, lender liability defense, financial institution litigation and title insurance claims litigation. Mr. Lublin frequently speaks nationally and locally on real estate related topics, including mortgage fraud and regulatory compliance. Mr. Lublin maintains an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Lublin is actively involved in several local real estate law related organizations and is a former Chair of the Real Property Section of the Georgia Bar.
Outside of his practice Mr. Lublin is a devoted husband to his wife of 33 years, Michele, and father to his 4 children, Kevin, Rebecca, Jessica and Alicia. He is also an avid scuba diver, tennis player and dog lover.

Tenise Cook Chung:
Tenise Cook Chung is a litigation partner of Rubin Lublin, LLC. Ms. Chung is a “double dawg”, graduating from the University of Georgia with her Bachelor of Arts in 2002 and her Juris Doctor in 2006. Her primary practice areas include commercial and real estate litigation. She represents clients in a wide variety of complex civil litigation matters, contract disputes, real estate, and quiet title actions in both Georgia and Tennessee. She also serves as a Special Master in several Fulton County real estate matters. Ms. Chung is the current Chair Elect of the Real Property Section of the Georgia Bar.
In her spare time, Ms. Chung enjoys hiking, cooking and travelling the world with her husband, Sam. She is also a dedicated mother to her children, Heidi, Klara, Collin and Grant.

Bret Chaness (Chapter—Bankruptcy Considerations):
Bret Chaness is a litigation partner of Rubin Lublin LLC. Mr. Chaness received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in 2008 and his Juris Doctor from Emory University in 2012. His primary practice areas include real estate litigation, mortgage servicing and foreclosure litigation, and bankruptcy litigation. He represents clients in a wide variety of complex civil litigation and bankruptcy matters involving contract disputes, real estate and quiet title actions, and lien priority actions. His experience also includes successfully briefing and arguing numerous appeals in state and federal courts. He is active with the State Bar of Georgia’s Real Property Law Section, where he formerly served on the section’s Executive Committee as chair of the litigation subcommittee. Mr. Chaness has been named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers for 2020–2024. Bret spends his free time watching college football, playing golf, and spending time with his wife Alyssa, and their children, Austin, Spencer, and Macie.

Patty Whitehead (Chapter—Eminent Domain and Condemnations and Chapter—Sovereign Citizens):
Patty is a senior litigation associate of Rubin Lublin, LLC. She attended Belmont University, obtaining her Bachelor of Business Administration in 2008 and her Juris Doctor in 2015. Her practice focuses on real estate litigation, foreclosure defense, and title curative work in the federal, state and appellate courts. Currently, Ms. Whitehead holds a seat on the Tennessee Bar Association Creditor’s Practice Section Executive Committee.
In addition to her law practice, Ms. Whitehead assists in elections as a Fulton County Deputy Registrar and holds a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Certificate. She is also an accomplished singer and music lover.

Contributing Author for Residential Landlord-Tenant Chapter, Catherine M. Bolger has been practicing law in Savannah since 2003 and is a partner with McCorkle, Johnson & McCoy, LLP. Her practice focuses primarily on commercial litigation, including construction and real estate disputes. Mrs. Bolger also handles cases involving construction liens, construction defects, commercial collection and landlord-tenant matters. Mrs. Bolger is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and was also admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2010. Mrs. Bolger was named a 2017 Georgia Rising Star in the area of construction litigation by Georgia Super Lawyers Magazine. She has also received a BV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. In addition to being admitted to practice in all trial courts in both Georgia and South Carolina, Mrs. Bolger has been admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Georgia. She has also handled cases before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia, the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Mrs. Bolger is a frequent speaker on landlord-tenant law matters. In the past, Mrs. Bolger has published and spoke on the issues of “Ethical Considerations in Landlord-Tenant Law” and “Landlord and Tenant Rights and Obligations.” Mrs. Bolger received her B.A. Degree in English from the University of Kentucky, where she graduated magna cum laude. She obtained her J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law in 2002. Mrs. Bolger is a member of the Savannah Bar Association and the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers.

Contributing Author for Conservation Easement Chapter, Kristy Caron, a partner with Fox Rothschild LLP, has a diverse practice in which she provides strategic advice to individuals and businesses on corporate, tax and real estate matters. She has significant experience in structuring and assessing the tax benefits and risks of real estate and other investment transactions, advising on corporate governance and organizational matters, and representing individuals and entities in state and federal tax examination and litigation proceedings. Kristy is particularly well-versed in tax credits and charitable land donations.
Prior to joining Fox Rothschild, Kristy was Vice President for Due Diligence and Associate General Counsel at a Georgia-based real estate and business consulting firm. Before that, she was a tax attorney with a well-respected regional law firm in Atlanta and served as in-house counsel for a land and natural resources consulting firm. Kristy was a staff attorney in civil and criminal matters for the Colorado Court of Appeals, where she previously served as a law clerk to Judge Marsha Piccone and Judge John R. Webb. She also clerked for several civil judges in Connecticut Superior Court.
