M. Kirby Wilcox is a partner with the firm of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, www.paulhastings.com, resident in the San Francisco office. Mr. Wilcox has litigated in federal and state courts, as well as before federal and state agencies. He has defended dozens of class actions, litigating them through their pre-trial, trial and post-trial phases; he has handled many labor arbitrations; and has defended hundreds of wrongful discharge actions. He also counsels his clients on a wide range of employment matters, including wrongful discharge; equal employment opportunity; wage and hour; privacy; trade secrets; disability accommodation; occupational safety and health; family and medical leave; affirmative action; and the law of collective bargaining. Mr. Wilcox is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been included in every issue of The Best Lawyers In America.

Mr. Wilcox is chief editorial consultant for the Matthew Bender treatise entitled California Employment Law, and on the Editorial Board for Bender's California Labor & Employment Bulletin. He also has lectured on a wide variety of employment law topics involving practice and procedure under nearly every act that governs employer- employee relations.

Mr. Wilcox received his Bachelor's degree, cum laude, in 1970 from Harvard University, his M.S. degree from the London School of Economics in 1971 and his J.D. from Hastings College of Law in 1977, where he was executive editor of the Hastings Law Journal and externed for Federal District Judge William O. Orrick.
