Compiled by Ellen Bublick of the University of Arizona, the Sections in this edition have been drawn from five separate Restatement projects—Restatement Third of Torts: Liability for Physical and Emotional Harm (2010 & 2012); the Restatement Third of Torts: Apportionment of Liability (2000); the Restatement Third of Torts: Products Liability (1998); the Restatement Second of Torts; and the Restatement of Agency (2006). While Restatement Section numbers and project names are noted underneath each black-letter provision, Section numbers play a diminished role in this volume. Instead, this book has been organized by topic in a way that corresponds more closely to first-year casebooks.
