Taken in its expansive sense, "Environmental and Natural Resources Law" encompasses pollution control law, energy allocation and conservation law, species and habitat protection, common law property rights, and a host of other areas.
This book focuses on how and why agencies make decisions that impact the environment, and it explains how interested parties can and do influence those decisions.
The book may be used as a textbook by professors teaching an FYLSE review course. It can also be used as a supplemental resource for students taking Contracts, Torts, and Criminal Law.
Evidence and the Advocate teaches each rule of evidence using a three pronged approach: (1) a treatise-like explanation of the rule, its purposes, exceptions and foundations; (2) cases, discussion questions and hypothetical problems related to the rule; and (3) an application section in which the students must prepare a courtroom exercise putting the rule into action.
