Principles and Practice of Securities Regulations in Singapore, Fourth Edition

Alexander Loke is Associate Dean and Professor at the School of Law, City University of Hong Kong, Director of the Hong Kong Commercial & Maritime Law Centre, and a member of the Hong Kong Law Reform Commission. He was the founding Chief Editor of the Asian Journal of Comparative Law and one of the founders of the NUS Centre for Banking & Finance Law. He has published extensively in contract law, corporate and securities law, and international finance.

Hans is a Professor of Law at the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore and is Co-Director of its Centre for Banking and Finance Law. He has written and edited books on securities regulation, company and trust law, and is a contributor to Palmer’s Company Law (Geoffrey Morse ed). He was previously seconded to the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Ministry of Law. He is presently serving on the Securities Industry Council and SGX’s Listing Advisory Committee, and is a consultant with Linklaters Singapore. He has been a visiting professor at Auckland and Shanghai’s ECUPL and a visiting scholar at Stanford and Melbourne.

Dr Petrina Tan Tjin Yi is Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Universiti Malaya. She holds a PhD and an LLM in Corporate & Financial Services Law from the National University of Singapore, as well as an LLB (Hons) (Distinction) from Universiti Malaya. A Commonwealth Scholar, she was awarded her PhD in July 2023. Her doctoral thesis examined the regulation of alternative market listing regimes by selected stock exchanges in Asia. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international and regional conferences. Her research interests include capital markets law and policy, company law, corporate governance, and regulatory theory.

Wai Yee Wan is Adjunct Professor at the School of Law, City University of Hong Kong. She previously held professorships at City University of Hong Kong and Singapore Management University. Before entering academia in late 2005, she was a partner at Allen & Gledhill in Singapore, where she practised in mergers and acquisitions and equity capital markets. Her principal research interests are corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, securities regulation, financial consumer regulation, and global restructuring and insolvency.
