Criminal Law in Myanmar

Mark McBride is an Assistant Professor of Law at the National University of Singapore, where he teaches criminal law. He has published work on diverse topics, ranging from the nature of law in general, the goal or aim of legal proof, the relationship between justifications and excuses in the criminal law, and the doctrine of double effect.

Michael Hor is Professor and Dean of Law of the University of Hong Kong. He has researched, published and taught criminal law, criminal evidence and process for more than two decades.

Chan Wing Cheong is a Professor of Law at the Singapore Management University. He specialises in criminal law and family law and has published extensively in these areas. The books on criminal law that he has been involved in include Fundamental Principles of Criminal Law: Cases and Materials; Support for Victims of Crime in Asia; Codification, Macaulay and the Indian Penal Code; and Criminal Law for the 21st Century: A Model Code for Singapore.

Neil Morgan is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Western Australia (UWA). From 2009 to 2019 he was Inspector of Custodial Services for Western Australia. Before this, he was a Winthrop Professor at UWA. He has also been a staff member and visiting professor at the National University of Singapore. He has published widely, and has led numerous research and law reform projects on criminal law, sentencing and corrections in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

Stanley Yeo is a visiting research professor at the National University of Singapore. He is an internationally renowned comparative law scholar who has studied the criminal laws of various jurisdictions for forty years. His previous books on criminal law include Compulsion in the Criminal Law; Fault in Homicide; Unrestrained Killings and the Law; Criminal Defences in Australia, and Criminal Defences under the Penal Code of Bhutan.
