Modern Maryland Civil Procedure

Richard W. Bourne has taught litigation courses in several law schools. Since joining the law faculty at the University of Baltimore in 1979, Professor Bourne has taught Civil Procedure, Federal Courts, and Conflict of Laws. Most of his professional writing has reflected these teaching interests. Upon the adoption of the current Maryland rules in 1984, he and Professor Lynch collaborated on an article exploring the effect of the rules' merger of law and equity upon the state's constitutional right to jury trial.

John A. Lynch, Jr. has taught Civil Procedure at the University of Baltimore since 1988. Professor Lynch is assisting in the revision of the Civil Procedure and Equity chapters of the Maryland Bench Book.
