Lex K. Larson is former President of Employment Law Research, Inc., a legal research group located in Durham, North Carolina. A graduate of Haverford College and Harvard Law School, Mr. Larson practiced law for 14 years in Washington, D.C. From time to time he has taught courses at Duke University Law School as Senior Lecturer at Law. In addition to being the original author of Employment Screening (2 volumes) and Unjust Dismissal (3 volumes), he is Author Emeritus of Larson’s Workers’ Compensation Law (17 volumes), Larson’s Workers’ Compensation Desk Edition (4 volumes), and Employment Discrimination (11 volumes). All of the above treatises are published by Matthew Bender & Co.
Kim Hostetter Hagan graduated cum laude from Duke University in 1988, following which she joined Employment Law Research, Inc. Ms. Hagan subsequently attended the University of North Carolina School of Law. Upon graduating with honors in 1992, Ms. Hagan served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable John B. Lewis. Jr. at the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Thereafter, she worked at the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts as a research attorney. Ms. Hagan has worked with Lex Larson for the past two decades on several of his employment law treatises. She is also a contributing author to two volumes of Labor and Employment Law, published by Matthew Bender & Co.
