Louis van Wyk has extensive experience in all facets and aspects of IP matters. He retired as partner from the law firm Spoor and Fisher in 2015 and is presently a consultant to the firm as well as freelance consultant to a number of internationally-listed blue chip companies. He specializes in IP litigation, copyright law, constitutional issues relating to freedom of speech, product liability, competition law, and pharmaceutical law. Mr. van Wyk holds the qualifications BA LLB Dip Int Law. He is an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and a Fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law.

Madelein Kleyn is a South African patent attorney with extensive international experience in both intellectual property as well as commercial law. She is a qualified Chemical engineer and holds various law degrees including a PhD in Intellectual Property Law. Her main areas of expertise include IP strategy development and implementation, Merger and Acquisition transactions, IP portfolio management including prosecution of patents and trademarks, IP litigation (U.S., Europe, and South Africa), and patent and trademark opposition matters. She is knowledgeable and regularly advises on corporate governance and IP risk management, and she specializes in drafting of, and advising on, IP-related business transactions, including technology transfer. Ms. Kleyn has authored and presented various articles, papers, and publications on intellectual property matters and licensing internationally.
