Health Care Contracts: A Clause-By-Clause Guide to Drafting and Negotiation (AHLA Members)

Arthur L. Corbin (1874-1967) was a professor at Yale Law School and prolific legal scholar. He was instrumental in the development of the philosophy of legal realism, and wrote extensively on contract law, most notably in Corbin on Contracts. He was also very influential in the Restatement (Second) of Contracts and his scholarship heavily influenced the Uniform Commercial Code. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1894 and earned his law degree magna cum laude from Yale in 1899.

Joseph M. Perillo is a Distinguished Professor of Law Emeritus at Fordham University Law School. He is a prolific legal scholar and the author of numerous casebooks, treatises and journal articles. He is the former director of the Louis Stein Institute on Law and Ethics and was also in private practice after graduating from Cornell Law, where he was the Note Editor for the Cornell Law Quarterly.

John E. Murray, Jr. is the University Chancellor and a Professor of Law at Duquesne University, where he was also the President from 1988 to 2001. He was previously Dean at the Law Schools of both The University of Pittsburgh and Villanova University. He is a prolific legal scholar and author and is a renowned expert on contract law.

Denis Boivin est professeur titulaire à la Faculté de droit de l’Université d’Ottawa. Il enseigne dans le Programme de common law en français (PCLF) depuis 1993. Ancien auxiliaire juridique au juge Iacobucci de la Cour suprême du Canada (1991-92) et fier diplômé du PCLF (LL.B. 1991) et de la Yale Law School (LL.M. 1993), le professeur Boivin se spécialise en droit des assurances, en responsabilité civile délictuelle et en réparation en justice. Il est l’auteur de nombreux articles et ouvrages de doctrine, y compris la seconde édition de son texte Insurance Law (2015), qui est cité régulièrement par les tribunaux du Canada. Membre du Barreau de l’Ontario depuis 1995, le professeur Boivin a siégé au Tribunal des services financiers de l’Ontario de 2004 à 2019 et a agi en tant que conseiller juridique aux bureaux Heenan Blaikie srl (2008-2012) et CazaSaikaley srl (2012-2018). Il est récipiendaire de nombreuses distinctions en matière d’enseignement et de recherche, notamment le Prix d’excellence en enseignement de la Section de common law (2017), l’Ordre du mérite de l’Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario (2017), le Prix d’excellence en éducation de l’Université d’Ottawa (2007) et le Prix savant de l’Association canadienne des professeur(e)s de droit (1999).
