Georgia Civil Practice

Gregory Hardy, Jr. is a Partner in the Vienna, Ga., law firm of Davis, Gregory, Christy & Forehand. He is a former Justice of the Supreme Court of Georgia (1981-1990) and a former Judge of the Superior Courts, Cordele Judicial Circuit (1976-1981). Mr. Gregory received his J.D. from Mercer University, as well as an LL.M. from the University of Virginia and a B.S. from the United States Naval Academy. In 1990, Mr. Gregory received the State Bar of Georgia Award for Distinguished Service to the Legal Profession and in 1989 he was presented the Georgia Trial Lawyers Judicial Award. A former Trustee of Mercer University, he was given that school's Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1986 and its Outstanding Alumnus Award a year later. Mr. Gregory is a Director of the Georgia Civil Justice Foundation, a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and the Georgia Bar Foundation, and a Member of the Institute of Judicial Administration, the Cordele and American Bar associations, the State Bar of Georgia, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (Secretary, 1992-1993), the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the American Law Institute.
