Kathleen S. Phang is a Partner/Owner of Katie S. Phang, P.A., located in Miami, Florida. Her law firm focuses on commercial/business litigation, family law, and criminal defense. Ms. Phang is a 2000 graduate, cum laude, of the University of Miami School of Law, where she now serves as an adjunct professor in its Litigation Skills Program. She is licensed to practice law in Florida (state and federal courts) and is AV-Preeminent Rated in Civil Litigation, Family Law, Criminal Law, and Bankruptcy.
Ms. Phang is a past President of the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (Miami-Dade FAWL). A member of the Dade County Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute, Ms. Phang currently serves as the Chair of a Florida Bar Grievance Committee and a member of an Eleventh Judicial Circuit Professionalism Committee. She is also on the Board of Directors for the University of Miami Alumni Association.
Ms. Phang is a Legal Contributor for NBC News/MSNBC and has appeared on television and radio for several media outlets. She is frequently interviewed for legal issues and is often an invited speaker/lecturer for The Florida Bar, the Defense Research Institute, Miami-Dade FAWL, as well as other bar associations. For years, she has been ranked as a leading lawyer by various sources including Best Lawyers in America, The Daily Business Review, Florida Super Lawyers, Florida Trend Magazine, and the South Florida Legal Guide.
