California Torts

Professor Neil Levy teaches Torts at University of California Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall). He is Prof. Emeritus at Golden Gate University, School of Law and has visited at Stanford Law School and at the University of San Diego, School of Law. He has had an extensive appellate and motions practice in the fields of tort liability and insurance coverage. He is a graduate of Cornell University and the University of Chicago, School of Law.

Professor Michael M. Golden teaches civil procedure and remedies at Golden Gate University, School of Law. He received his A.B. from Pomona College and was awarded his LL.B., Order of the Coif, from Stanford University. Professor Golden clerked for Judge Duniway of the Court of Appeal in San Francisco and was associated with the San Francisco firm of Heller, Ehrman, White, and McAuliffe. He serves on the California State Bar Committee on Administration of Justice. Professor Golden has been admitted to the bars of California and the Ninth Circuit.

Leonard Sacks of Granada Hills, California, is a specialist and consultant in tort appellate practice. He received his A.B. cum laude from Syracuse University and is a cum laude graduate of the New York University School of Law, where he was on the law review. He has been chairman and brief writer for the California Trial Lawyers Association Amicus Curiae Committee and has written briefs in landmark tort cases, including: Li v. Yellow Cab Co., Brown v. Merlo, American Motorcycle Association v. Superior Court, Barker v. Lull Engineering Co., Gruenberg v. Aetna Ins. Co., and Neal v. Farmers Ins. Co. Mr. Sacks has written numerous articles in the field of torts and appellate practice and has been Editor-in-Chief of the legal magazines published by California Trial Lawyers Association and Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Association.
