Marissa Hood works as a Legal Officer at the Attorney-General’s Department. Prior to this she worked in the libraries of the Parliament of Australia, Australian Institute of Criminology, Attorney-General’s Department and High Court of Australia. She has degrees in Arts, Law and Information Management.
Paul Sattler worked as a solicitor specialising in criminal law before joining the University of New England, where he teaches and researches in criminal law. He continues to practise as a solicitor and was a contributing editor to the 4th and 5th editions of the LexisNexis Concise Australian Legal Dictionary.
Roderick N Howie KC has held numerous public offices in New South Wales including Public Defender, Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions and Crown Advocate. He was appointed a judge of the District Court of New South Wales in 1996 and a justice of the Supreme Court in September 2000. He retired from the Bench in May 2010. He is an esteemed author and editor of several LexisNexis publications.
