Dr Jeannie Marie Paterson is an Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne Law School. She specialises in contract, consumer and consumer credit law. Jeannie also practices as a consultant in consumer law matters and her current research focuses on the protection of vulnerable and disadvantaged consumers.

Hal Bolitho is a Legal Consultant at King & Wood Mallesons. Hal has over 20 years' experience as a banking and finance lawyer, specialising in asset finance, personal property securities and financial sector regulation. Hal has practiced as a finance lawyer in Australia, Japan and England, and spent three years as a partner in the Mallesons London Office.

Nicola Howell is a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland Faculty of Law. She has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Melbouren and a Master of Law from Griffith University. Nicola specialises in the areas of consumer credit, financial services, bankruptcy, insolvency, consumer law and self-regulation. She is a member of the Commercial and Property Law Centre, QUT; the Consumers’ Federation of Australia; and the Australian Law Teachers Association.
