In his foreword to the 3rd edition of this work former Judge of Appeal V K Rajah described it as “an indispensable reference text” for all interested in land law, written in “extremely readable prose”. The aim of this still (relatively) slim volume remains to provide a palatable guide through what many find a potentially impenetrable forest of ancient and peculiar rules. The fifth edition of Land Law states, in a clear and straightforward manner, issues in a complex area of the law. It is an introductory guide not just for students but also for other people who need to know something about the law of real property. Practising lawyers will also find it useful. The new edition includes a discussion on the amendment to the Land Titles Act, all developments in land law including case law since the 2010 edition, changes in the law involving resulting and constructive trusts, and a new chapter on REITs.
