The Information Technology Act also establishes bodies like the Cyber Appellate Tribunal and the Controller of Certifying Authorities for cybersecurity enforcement. The IT Act 2000 also regulates digital certificates and certifying authorities. Amended in 2008, the Act introduced stronger cybersecurity and data protection measures.
