By Eric Geringswald | CSC
South Dakota lawmakers added or amended more than 60 sections to the state’s business entity and trust laws during the latest legislative session, including new UCC provisions regulating electronic records such as cryptocurrency and NFTS.
These changes are captured in the 2024 edition of South Dakota Laws Governing Business Entities and Trusts Annotated. The book features the full text of Title 47—Corporations and Title 48—Partnerships from the South Dakota Statutes, as well as chapters from Title 51A—Banks and Banking dealing with trusts, and Title 55—Fiduciaries and Trusts. There is also a curated selection of statutes from related titles covering taxation, trademarks, and civil procedure, along with selected chapters from the UCC.
